All sections benefited from the formation of Sarangarh district

Raipur: “People have been demanding formation of Sarangarh district for about 40 years. I have been doing business here for the last 50 years. Earlier, I owned a restaurant but now I am running a shoe shop. Several agitations have been launched by the Zila Sangharsh Samiti for the formation of the district. However, only false assurances were given.”, Ajit Singh Chhabra, a resident of Sarangarh.

Expressing his happiness over the formation of new Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, he added that “But, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel understood the feelings of the people of Sarangarh and we are very grateful to him for his decision.”

He also informed that before 1975 there was no bridge over Mahanadi River, so one had to travel to Raigarh by boat. Today, even though there are resources, it takes a lot of time and money to go to Raigarh for every small task. After the formation of the district, now all the work will be done here. This will benefit the residents as well as traders here. People belonging to every section of society will benefit from the formation of new district.
