Panchayat and rural development min TS Singh Deo chairs review meeting of panchayat and rural development and health department

Raipur: Panchayat and rural
development minister TS Singh Deo chaired review meeting of Panchayat and Rural
Development Department in Mahanadi Bhawan on Tuesday. He reviewed the progress
of average increase in man-days under MNREGA in the financial years 2019-20,
2020-21 and 2021-22, fisheries, agricultural irrigation, horticulture, village
industries and forest department in convergence with the progress of work and
expenditure completed in the financial years. Besides, he also reviewed the
target and achievement of Rural Livelihood Mission in the past in 2 years
(2020-21 and 2021-22). Comparative review of the achievement achieved against
the target in group formation, village organization formation and cluster level
organization formation work.

The minister received
information about the achievements against the target in Bastar, Raipur, Durg,
Bilaspur, and Surguja under the division-wise status of the use of community
toilets constructed in the year 2020-2021 and in the year 2021-2022. He gave
instructions to raise awareness among public regarding use of public toilets. He
also reviewed progress of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin and progress and
action plan of Narva treatment under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA in which the total
number of Narva selected for Narva treatment in the state is 28,248 district-wise.

Meanwhile, health
minister TS Singh Deo also chaired a departmental review meeting with senior
officers of Health Department and Medical Education. He sought information regarding
payments made to government hospitals under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan
Arogya Yojana, Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme, institution wise
information of MBBS doctors on contractual appointment, institution wise
information of posting orders issued on 19/4/2022 of contracted medical
officers, information about sanctioned and filled posts in new medical college,
amount required for establishment of medical college. Other important topics including
action plan for Medical College, Durg was also discussed. Deo also provided
necessary directions to the senior officers to strengthen the health system in
the state and promote their development works.
