Political fervor in Chhattisgarh as PM Modi, CM Yogi, and star campaigners rally for BJP

Raipur Chhattisgarh gears up for a political showdown as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and prominent BJP leaders, including union minister Smriti Irani, prepare to ignite a campaign frenzy in the state. This political spectacle is taking place amid high-stake legislative assembly elections, where the BJP is striving to regain its dominance after 15 years in power. With a resurgent opposition attempting to seize power, the BJP has mobilized a formidable lineup of star campaigners to bolster its political footing. These star campaigners are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the electoral landscape. The BJP has initiated preparations for three major rallies by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, strategically scheduled between the two election phases in the state. These rallies are anticipated to be a platform for significant announcements, aimed at swaying the electorate in favor of the BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already addressed rallies in Raipur, Raigarh, and Bastar, and more rallies are expected in Surguja and Rajnandgaon regions, with locations tailored to meet the political requirements of the moment. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also descend upon Chhattisgarh as a star campaigner, igniting further enthusiasm in the party’s ranks. Yogi Adityanath will address rallies in the Sarguja division on October 23 and 24. Nitin Gadkari will engage with the public on October 25 and 26. Smriti Irani is likely to visit on October 28. Rajnath Singh will hold rallies in Bastar and Rajnandgaon on November 4 and 5. Moreover, leaders like Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya, and Union Home Minister Nityanand Rai have already made appearances in Raipur. In a bid to capture public attention and build momentum, BJP is emphasizing issues such as corruption, coal, sand, and liquor scams. The liquor ban, regularization of employees, and addressing unemployment in Chhattisgarh are among the focal points of the star campaigners. They also intend to challenge the Congress on issues like land disputes and concerns of the farming community. The Congress, not to be outdone, is also actively preparing for the upcoming legislative assembly elections. Prominent leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Randeep Surjewala are expected to engage with the electorate through rallies. While the dates and locations for Congress campaigns are yet to be finalized, their presence is imminent.
