Yuvoday Volunteers Shine at Purple Jollase 2025, Set New Milestone for Mental Health and Disability Inclusion
Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra | 19 January 2025 – Purple Jollase 2025, hosted by Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and Divyang Bhawan Foundation, with UNICEF as a knowledge partner, showcased inspiring efforts to promote inclusion and mental health support for persons with disabilities.
Five Yuvoday volunteers from Chhattisgarh—Vinod, Anyrose, Krishna, Suryakant, and Kartik—took center stage, leading interactive sessions, sharing personal experiences, and advocating for mental well-being at the UNICEF Pavilion. Their impactful contributions were recognized by Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Ajit Pawar, who commended their dedication to creating inclusive mental health support systems.
Collaborating for Inclusion
PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh, IAS, highlighted the importance of partnerships:
“Purple Jollase is a step towards a more accessible India. Together with UNICEF, we aim to empower persons with disabilities.”
UNICEF Chhattisgarh Specialist, Abhishek Singh, lauded the youth volunteers:

Actor Anurita Jha added:

Scaling Impact Through Technology
Yuvoday has launched a mobile app to enhance volunteer engagement and mental health resource access. The program now spans 10 districts in Chhattisgarh in collaboration with district authorities.
Krishna Yadav, a wheelchair user and advocate, shared:
“Mental health is about how we feel, not just our abilities. Being here has been empowering and inspiring.”
