Vishnudeo Sai sworn in as fourth Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh

Senior tribal leader and two-time BJP Chhattisgarh president, Vishnudeo Sai, took the oath as the fourth Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh with the swearing-in ceremony taking place at the Government Science College ground in Raipur on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president J.P. Nadda, chief ministers of NDA-ruled states, including Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, and senior party leaders graced the occasion.
BJP state president and Bilaspur MP Arun Sao, elected from the Lormi constituency of Bilaspur regions, and Kawardha MLA Vijay Sharma were sworn in as the Deputy Chief Ministers. Immediately after the oath ceremony, Chief Minister Sai assumed office. Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan administered the oath.
During the oath-taking, former chief minister Bhupesh Baghel and former deputy chief minister TS Singh Deo were present. Meanwhile, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma exchanged greetings with Bhupesh Baghel while Prime Minister Modi reached out to him about 40 minutes after the oath-taking ceremony for a conversation.
Before taking the oath as Chief Minister, Sai reached the Jagannath Temple in Gayatri Nagar to perform puja and seek blessings. MLA Purandar Mishra from North Raipur was also present during this time.
Goa CM Pramod Sawant said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government has once again come to power in Chhattisgarh. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to the workers of Chhattisgarh. I can confidently say that the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and his entire team will fulfill Modi’s guarantee.”
On this occasion, Chhattisgarh BJP In-charge Om Mathur said that the people of Chhattisgarh have fulfilled the slogan of ‘change.’ Meanwhile, PM Modi’s welcome was done with a theme song. The cultural program concluded with the theme song ‘Joh Ram Ko Laye Hain, Hum Unko Layenge.’
Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Mansukh Mandaviya, and Ramdas Athawale, along with Tripura chief minister Manik Sarkar, were also present.
Sai often refers to the late BJP leader Dilip Singh Judeo as the inspiration behind the beginning of his political journey. In Raipur, Sai personally invited the entire Judeo family to his residence, Jashpur House. Sai met with Dilip Singh Judeo’s widow, Madhavi Devi, and sought her blessings. Madhavi Devi warmly greeted Chief Minister Sai and congratulated him.
