Vikram Singh Sisodia Meets Union Sports Secretary Hari Ranjan Rao, Discusses Key Issues Related to Chhattisgarh’s Sports Development

New Delhi/Raipur, July 30, 2025:
Chhattisgarh Olympic Association Secretary Vikram Singh Sisodia met with Union Sports Secretary Hari Ranjan Rao in New Delhi today and discussed several critical matters concerning the growth and development of sports in Chhattisgarh.

During the meeting, Sisodia highlighted the following key points:
• Emphasized the need for establishing a SAI regional center in Chhattisgarh to ensure better training and infrastructure access for local athletes.
• Sought clarity on the Centre’s support and role in the 2028 National Games, as per the previous MoU.
• Advocated for voting rights to state associations within the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to ensure fair representation for states like Chhattisgarh.
• Requested central assistance and guidance to further strengthen the sports infrastructure in the state.

Hari Ranjan Rao acknowledged the concerns raised and assured full support from the Union Sports Ministry. He emphasized the Centre’s commitment to providing greater opportunities and facilities for emerging athletes from Chhattisgarh.
