Vice-Chancellor Professor Chakrawal and Chhattisgarh’s Principal Accountant General Have Agreed to Collaborate on Projects.

Bilaspur. On January 8, 2023, Yashwant Kumar (IA & AS), Principal Accountant General (Audit) of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department of Chhattisgarh, paid a courtesy call to Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, honourable vice-chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (Central University). Both dignitaries discussed cooperation and joint work on projects to make the distribution system, management, operation, and effective implementation of various government schemes. The registrar, Prof. Manish Srivastava, was also present.
During the courtesy call, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chakrawal, provided information about the Swavalambi Chhattisgarh project started by the Central University and voiced his opinion that our students are talented, hardworking, persevering, and determined, who will prove to be future assets for any institution. He put forth his conviction that, with the cooperation of both institutes, our students will get empirical knowledge of practical accounting activities, which will increase their efficiency and skills.
The Vice-Chancellor stated that the Audit Section would assist students, research scholars, and teachers of commerce, economics, and political science in understanding the distribution system, management, operation, and so on of various schemes, as well as practical inputs for making them error-free. Both Professor Chakrawal and Yashwant Kumar resolved to work together and cooperate on government projects. Both expressed hope that students would gain theoretical and practical knowledge in the coming years, increasing their employability.
Yashwant Kumar (IA&AS), Principal Accountant General (Audit) of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department of Chhattisgarh, described the government policies and the role of higher educational institutions in their implementation. He said that under the dynamic leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chakrawal, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is making steady progress and carving out a space in the academic sphere. Yashwant Kumar emphasised that involving students from various departments in project activities is a better way to make them aware and enterprising. He expressed hope that the Audit Department and Central University would collaborate on the project and produce positive results.
The Vice-Chancellor also informed Yashwant Kumar about the infrastructure development, solar energy initiatives, and academic activities. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor honoured Yashwant Kumar by presenting him with a memento.
