Uttarakhand forest officials to visit Chhattisgarh for a study tour

Raipur: Forest officials of Uttarakhand will be on a three day study tour of Chhattisgarh from January 18. The team will observe and study the works done in soil and water conservation under the CAMPA scheme in Chhattisgarh.
Meanwhile, in the meeting of the National Authority Executive Committee organized by the Director General of Forests and Special Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, in Gandhinagar on November 09, the innovative efforts of soil and water conservation under the CAMPA scheme of Chhattisgarh were highly appreciated.
According to the information received, the Chief Conservator of Forests of Uttarakhand State Vinod Kumar, and the Additional Chief Conservator of Forests G.S. Pandey will come to Chhattisgarh for this study tour. Along with these officers, Umeshchandra Tiwari, Divisional Officer of Ranikhet, Forest Division of Almora district will also be involved in the visit.
During the study tour in the state of Chhattisgarh, these officers will observe the innovative works related to soil and water conservation done under the CAMPA scheme in Chhattisgarh and after the study, according to the local conditions of Uttarakhand, the innovative works related to soil and water conservation will be implemented in their state’s annual action plan of CAMPA.
