Unusual Requests at Sushasan Tihar: Youths Seek Brides from Govt

Raipur
While Sushasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival) is primarily intended for people to bring issues related to governance and administration, some individuals are also approaching the platform with deeply personal requests. In a peculiar trend observed in the district, young men are using Sushasan Tihar to seek brides from the government. One youth even went as far as to write that he would be happy with a widow, a divorcee, or even an orphaned girl from a poor background.

Chandan Sahni, a 36-year-old resident of Brahmacharya ward in Rajim Nagar Panchayat, has made a plea to the government administration to help him find a bride. Chandan explained that he lives alone and, tired of searching for a life partner, he has now turned to the government with his unusual request, hoping for assistance in finding a suitable match.

In his heartfelt appeal, the young man stated in his application that he needs a life partner. He further added that he would be willing to marry a widow, a divorcee, or even a girl from an orphaned and poor family without any conditions. Similarly, another young man from Chaitra Panchayat in Phingeshwar block has also made a similar request.

Ashok Pandey, the District Programme Officer of the Women and Child Development Department, reported that they have received eight such applications. Some of these young men have also sought financial assistance for marriage. He stated that all applicants have been responded to and will be considered for relevant schemes when the time comes. Regarding the requests for brides, the department has responded by asking the individuals to wait for an appropriate time, thus addressing their concerns.
