Shradha Shukla of Raipur gets 45th rank in UPSC Main Examination

Raipur: As Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the results of Civil Services Examination, 2021 on Monday, Shradha Shukla from Raipur secured the 45th position in the list of 685 candidates cleared the examination. It may be mentioned, the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2021 was held by the UPSC in January, 2022 followed by the interviews for Personality Test held in April-May, 2022. The candidates cleared the examination will be recommended for appointment to Indian Administration Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service, and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ in order of merit of candidates. However, Shradha’s selection in IAS looks almost certain.

It is also to be mentioned, Shradha Shukla is the daughter of Chhattisgarh Congress Media Chief Sushil Anand Shukla.

Similarly, Akshay Pillay, son of Additional Chief Secretary in Chhattisgarh Government Renu Pillay, has secured 51st rank. Prakhar Chandrakar of Chhattisgarh has got 102nd rank. Prakhar has done engineering from NIT Raipur.

Abhishek Agrawal, the son of another IAS in Chhattisgarh Umesh Agrawal, has also been selected in UPSC. Abhishek has secured the 254th rank.

Shradha sings state song ‘Arpa Pairi Ke Dhar…’ in interview

Shradha Shukla said that she was asked questions about the working IAS and how to deal with serious situations if she becomes a collector. Shradha said that she sang Chhattisgarh state song ‘Arpa Pairi Ke Dhar..’ before the panel during the interview. “In fact, I had expressed my wish to sing the song and the panelists were greatly impressed by this,” Shradha said. Regarding UPSC preparations, Shradha said that she wanted to break the myth that UPSC preparations can be done by staying in Delhi. She never went to Delhi for preparation to prove the myth wrong. She did online preparation from Raipur itself.
