Road from Kalibadi Chowk to Siddharth Chowk in state capital renamed in honor of freedom fighter Hanuman Prasad Dubey

The road from Kalibadi Chowk to Siddharth Chowk in the capital Raipur was on Sunday renamed after freedom fighter and former Raipur Municipal Corporation member, the late Hanuman Prasad Dubey. The renaming ceremony’s chief guest was former State Election Commissioner and renowned litterateur Sushil Trivedi, with Pramod Dubey, Chairman of the Municipal Corporation, presiding over the event. Special guests included former MLA Virendra Pandey and senior leader Rajendra Tiwari.

At the renaming ceremony held at Siddharth Chowk by the Chhattisgarh Saryuparin Brahmin Mahasabha, the guests recalled the role of the late Hanuman Prasad Dubey in the Quit India Movement. His contributions as a corporator of the Tikrapara ward were also remembered. On the stage were the State President of the Saryuparin Brahmin Sabha, Dr. Suresh Shukla, Mayor-in-Council member Akash Tiwari, senior corporator Mrityunjay Dubey, Jaitusav Math director Ajay Tiwari, Swatantrata Senani Uttaradhikari Sangathan president Murli Manohar Khandelwal, former Saryuparin Brahmin Sabha president Ramakant Shukla, Ramkrishna Pathak, and Hanuman Prasad Dubey’s son Arun Dubey. The program was conducted by Rajesh Tripathi, the joint secretary of the Saryuparin Brahmin Sabha.The sign board naming the road as “Pandit Hanuman Prasad Dubey Marg” at Siddharth Chowk was unveiled by the guests amid chants.
