Nearly 15 thousand government documents delivered at the doorstep of citizens through ‘Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana’

Raipur: With an aim of providing the benefits of government services directly to the doorstep of people, Chhattisgarh government started the ‘Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana’ on the occasion of Labour day on May 1, 2022.This initiative has received good response and has become fairly popular among the citizens of the state in a very short span of time. More than 14, 545 government documents have been delivered to people’s homes by Mitans through this scheme.

An official informed that not even five months have passed since the commencement of this scheme, but the response received from the citizens reflects the success of this citizen centric scheme. A large number of people in the municipal areas have started taking advantage of this scheme and availing numerous types of government services instantly. Through the Mitan scheme, 13 types of services are currently being provided by the Revenue and Urban Administration and Development Department to the citizens in 14 municipal corporations. The services being provided through Mitan scheme are; domicile certificate, caste certificate, income certificate, issuance of duplicate copy of document, non- Services include digitized (copy of land records etc.), death certificate, marriage registration and certificate, birth certificate, shop and establishment registration, birth certificate correction, death certificate correction, marriage certificate correction etc.  With the scope of expansion of these government services. Work is being done expeditiously to provide about 100 types of government services to citizens home’s in the near future and this scheme will be extended to all urban bodies.

Under the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, so far more than 30,000 citizens have received document related information through calls, while more than 14 thousand 545 citizens have received their official documents at their home’s. Around 20,800 Mitan appointments have been booked across the state till date. Through this scheme, the facility of booking appointments is available for the citizens that will provide them with all the needed government documents on a single call. A toll free number,which is 14, 545 has been set up to avail this service.The sole purpose of Mitan Yojana is to provide hassle free government facilities to the citizens of the state from the comfort of their homes. This scheme is proving to be an important bridge between the government and the citizens and the confidence of the citizens in the state government has been strengthened even more through this scheme.
