Humiliated by team formed by Collector and Parliamentary Secretary, Dr Sonwani offers his resignation

Jashpur:Nitish Anand Sonwani, a doctor posted in the Community Health Centre (CHC), Duldula, Jashpur, has given a written complaint to the competent authority expressing his wish to resign from the post. It is alleged that a team, constituted by MLA and parliamentary secretary U D Minj and the Jashpur Collector, publicly assaulted and abused him. The main reason behind the controversy could not come to fore.

After the incident came to light, Jashpur Collector constituted a team for the probe. Meanwhile, the doctor has expressed his desire to resign from his post making serious allegations in the written complaint to the CMO. Dr Sonwani has said that late last night when he was on duty, the members of the inspection team constituted by the Collector and Parliamentary Secretary came to the hospital. They were in inebriated condition and they and abused, assaulted and publicly humiliated him. “I have been hurt a lot by this. Evidence of the incident is recorded in the CCTV footage of the hospital,” Dr Sonwani said.

Dr Sonwani said that he was assaulted and humiliated in front of the hospital staff, so he wants to resign. Although the root cause of the whole controversy could not be known, but at first sight the doctor is seen as a victim.

Bilaspur MLA Shailesh Pandey raises the issue 

Bilaspur MLA Shailesh Pandey has raised the issue strongly on several social media condemning the hooliganism. The doctors who were beaten up at midnight by the inspection team of Collector and Parliamentary Secretary, offers his resignation which is a shame for the those abused him.
