Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to address the farmers of Chhattisgarh at the Government Nagarjuna Post Graduate College Science ground in the state capital on March 9. This Farmer’s Convention underscores the government’s commitment to engage with and address the concerns of the agricultural community.
In anticipation of this event, Cabinet Ministers Ramvichar Netam and Kedar Kashyap conducted a thorough inspection of the Science College ground to ensure all arrangements are in place for the convention.
The presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlights the government’s proactive stance towards farmers’ welfare. Moreover, the convention serves as a platform for farmers to voice their grievances and engage with key government officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Tokhan Sahu, the State President of the BJP Farmer’s Front, extended a invitation to farmers from across the state to participate in the convention. He emphasized the importance of discussing the achievements and initiatives undertaken by both the Central and State governments under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai.
Highlighting some notable achievements, Sahu mentioned the record-breaking purchase of 1.47 lakh metric tons of rice from 26 lakh farmers, showcasing the government’s commitment to supporting agricultural activities. He also lauded initiatives such as providing zero percent interest loans to farmers and releasing the 16th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Additionally, Sahu underscored the government’s efforts to alleviate the financial burdens of farmers by issuing farmer credit cards and providing bonus payments to account for their hard work and dedication.
The convention is not only a platform for addressing immediate concerns but also an opportunity to chart a path forward for the agricultural sector’s sustainable growth and prosperity. Sahu stressed the importance of unity among farmers and lauded the continuous efforts of the BJP in championing their cause.
The inspection was attended by key officials and members of the State Farmer’s Front, including Bhupendra Singh Savanni, Sanjay Shrivastava, Dwarikesh Pandey, Alok Thakur, Gauri Shankar Srivas, Kiran Usendi, Vedram Manhar, Ravish Gupta, Kamlesh Singh Rajput, Ravi Mishra, Rizwan Haq, and others, reaffirming the collective commitment towards the welfare of farmers in Chhattisgarh.
