A speeding car skidded off the road and overturned, tragically killing two young women in Korba district of Chhattisgarh.
The victims, Monica Chatterjee (26) and Diksha Rathore (23), were residents of MP Nagar Colony in Korba. They were returning from a trip to Manali with a friend when the accident occurred near Disposal Chowk on the National Highway.
The three friends were returning from Manali when their car, driven by Devraj, lost control reportedly due to excessive speed. The car overturned, and both women died on the spot. Devraj suffered serious injuries to his chest and head.
The Chaitma Chowki police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. The driver, Devraj, stated that they were returning from Manali and the accident occurred due to speeding.
In a separate incident in Raipur, a woman was injured when a speeding car hit an e-rickshaw. The woman was trapped under the e-rickshaw and suffered serious head injuries.
