Two-week ‘Bastar Rising’ campaign to begin on Wednesday

Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government’s Public Relations Department, in collaboration with the district administrations of all seven divisions of Bastar, will launch a special campaign called “Bastar Rising” starting on 8 October. The two-week initiative will be held across the seven districts of the Bastar division.

The campaign aims to showcase the cultural, environmental, and entrepreneurial potential of Bastar on a national platform. The programme will include dialogues, workshops, and cultural events involving experts, youth, artisans, and local communities.

The ‘Bastar Risingroadshow will travel through Keshkal, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Sukma, Dantewada, Bijapur, Chitrakote, Barsoor, and Jagdalpur. It will specifically focus on the potential for art, handicrafts, agriculture, tourism, sports, and education in the region.

The campaign will conclude in Raipur with the “Harmony Fest 2025,” which will feature inspirational stories, innovations, and the cultural heritage of Bastar. The final event will be based on the theme “Dil Mela – Dil Mein La” (A fair for the heart – Bring it to the heart).
