Raipur – In a significant development, the State Economic Offenses Investigation Bureau (Anti-Corruption) has arrested two Assistant Statistics Officers, Virendra Jatav and Hemant Kaushik, for their alleged involvement in the Patwari to Revenue Inspector promotion recruitment scam.
The accused reportedly accepted large amounts of money from candidates in exchange for leaking exam papers and coaching candidates ahead of the official tests.
The investigation, registered under multiple sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Indian Penal Code, continues to question various officials and employees linked to the case.
Both individuals were taken into custody today following the gathering of sufficient evidence and have been presented before the competent court for further legal action.
