Three-day All-India Education Conclave on National Education Policy Organized in Varanasi

Bilaspur. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (Central University), Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal delivered a lecture on July 09, 2022 at 11.40 am in Varanasi on positive efforts and best practices under the successful implementation of National Education Policy-2020. Discussion was held on the implementation of the National Education Policy-2020 at the three-day All-India Education Conclave on National Education Policy -2020 held from July 07 to July 09, 2022 at the Rudraksh Convention Center in Varanasi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the three-day program.

Addressing the heads of prestigious higher educational institutions of the country at the education conclave, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chakrawal said that the objective of National Education Policy-2020 is to prepare youth who are not job seekers but job givers, and under this idea Guru Ghasidas University has started Swavalambi Chhattisgarh scheme to make youth power, the students, self-reliant, taking a pioneering initiative. He said that I am happy and proud to inform you that a portal has also been started for implementation of the Self-Reliant Chhattisgarh Scheme, on which students and companies have started registration. Vice Chancellor Prof. Chakrawal said that the National Education Policy-2020 is a roadmap for the direct role of our acquired and available knowledge in academic excellence, economic development, and value addition. The objective of NEP-2020 is to impart knowledge to students of the ancient Indian wisdom tradition and cultural heritage along with 21st century skills and innovation, solving complex problems, enhancing creativity and digital literacy. Pro. Chakrawal said that Guru Ghasidas University has drafted the Ordinance, Regulations and MoU to provide its benefits to the students by creating academic bank of credit at PG level from the academic session 2022-23 in the continuation of the policy of implementation of National Education Policy 2020. Academic Bank of Credits aims to encourage a student-centric, learner-friendly approach in higher education across the country to promote more interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies with multiple entry and exit options. ABC enables the students to choose the best courses or the right course group according to their aptitude and knowledge quest. It provides an opportunity to the students to pursue a degree or specialization by choosing the subject as per their choice. In this event, the heads of various higher educational institutions had a deep brainstorming regarding the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020.
