Suhela Police Arrest Man for Strangling Wife Over Suspicion of Infidelity

Suhela police have arrested a man for allegedly murdering his 21-year-old wife, Kalyani Nishad, over suspicion of infidelity. The accused, Tejram Dhiwar, also 21, is a resident of Bhatbhera village under Suhela police station.

The incident came to light on February 15, 2025, when police received information about Kalyani’s death at the CHC Tilda hospital. During the initial investigation, the victim’s body was sent for a post-mortem examination. The preliminary report indicated that she had been strangled to death.

 

Based on the post-mortem report and statements from the victim’s family, police took Tejram into custody. During interrogation, he confessed to strangling his wife to death due to suspicion of her character. He further revealed that he had taken her to the hospital under the pretext of medical treatment after the murder.

 

A case has been registered against Tejram under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code at Suhela police station. He was formally arrested on February 16, 2025, and will be presented before the court.

 

Suhela police team, including Inspector Naresh Diwan, Sub-Inspector Virendra Singh, Head Constable Purendra Sahu, and Constables Mukesh Verma and Baleshwar Bhagat, played a key role in the swift arrest of the accused.
