Six Gauthans of Mungeli district to be developed as Livelihood Parks

Raipur: As many as six Gauthans of Mungeli district have been identified to be developed as Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA). Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday laid the foundation stone of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (Livelihood Park) in two Gauthans of each development block of the state through video conferencing from his residence office.
Meanwhile, Gauthans of Limha and Sambalpur village under Mungeli development block, and Gauthans of Chandli village and Sawatpur village under Lormi development block , Gauthans of Siltra village and Gauthan of Dhardei under Patharia development block have been identified to be developed as Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park.
Officials said that with the establishment of Rural Industrial Park in these Gauthans, rural families will take a new step towards self reliance and get additional livelihood opportunities . They will be able to avail employment opportunities in the vicinity of their villages. In order to promote livelihood and employment in rural areas, private entrepreneurs will also be encouraged to set up enterprises in these industrial parks. Various types of enterprises will be set up in the Rural Industrial Park depending on the local requirement and market potential. Loans will also be made available to the beneficiaries under the schemes of the government for setting up rural industries.
