In a major crackdown on illegal trade of intoxicated goods and those engaged in this business, Raipur police arrested six accused and seized drugs worth about Rs 12 lakh. The seized intoxicated goods were in the form of tablets, said SSP Prashant Agrawal. It may be mentioned, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has instructed the superintendents of police (SPs) during a Collector and SP conference in the state capital to take stringent action in such cases. The seized tablets include 1,57,400 pircesof Spasmon and 41,720 pieces of Alprazolam. Along with this, the police has taken action against the supplier and the operator of the medical store.
Along with this, vehicles carrying registration numbers I 20 CG 04 K J 8707, bullet CG 04 LR 3438 and avenger CG 04 MC 3316 used in the incident, worth about Rs 8 lakh, have also been seized. The police have succeeded in nabbing 6 accused in the case.
The accused identified as Kiazuddin Khan alias Vicky, 28, a resident in front of RajkumarCollege, Azad Chowk police, Raipur, J BhaskarRao, 28, a resident of Banjari Nagar ShitlaMandir near police station DD Nagar Raipur, Ravindra Goyal, 46, resident behind Super Sweets, Thana Old Basti Raipur, MukeshKumar Sahu, 45, resident of district Durg, Mohammad Hassan, 58, resident ShivkamalMowa, Raipur and Sahil Hasan, 18, resident Shiv Complex Mowa Raipur.
