Shah Vows Relentless Anti-Naxal Drive, Inaugurates Forensic Hub in Raipur

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while laying the foundation stone for the Raipur campus of the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) and a high-tech forensic lab in Nava Raipur, issued a stern warning to Naxalites, declaring that they will not be allowed to sleep peacefully—even during the monsoon season.

“There is no need for further dialogue. Naxalites should surrender their weapons. Our operations will continue even in the rain,” Shah said.

He also emphasized the employability of students graduating from NFSU, stating,

“Completing undergraduate or postgraduate studies from NFSU guarantees a job.”

Shah was originally scheduled to visit Bastar on Sunday and interact with residents of the Abujhmad region, but the program was cancelled. He will remain in Raipur, where he is set to interact with BSF personnel and security forces involved in anti-Naxal operations.

The newly announced NFSU campus and forensic lab are expected to significantly enhance the state’s investigative capabilities. According to officials, the campus will:


High-Level Naxal Security Review with Neighbouring States

Following the event, Shah chaired a high-level meeting on Naxal operations with DGPs and ADGPs from Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states—Odisha, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh. He reviewed the inter-state security situation and progress of anti-Naxal operations, directing officials to share intelligence inputs with Chhattisgarh to strengthen coordinated action.

With the new forensic infrastructure and continued central support, Chhattisgarh is expected to step up both its internal security efforts and criminal justice delivery system.
