Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana: Rs 2.09 crore transferred to 2,238 Farmers in Kabirdham district after intervention of forest min Akbar

Raipur: The first installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana was released by chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on May 22 this year. However, due to incomplete information, the amount could not be transferred to the accounts of 2,238 farmers in Kabirdham district. This issue came to the attention of the state’s Forest Minister and Kawardha MLA Mohammad Akbar. Taking immediate action, he directed Kabirdham Collector Janmejay Mahobe to update the accounts of these farmers and promptly transfer the amount under the Kisan Nyay Yojana. As a result of the Forest Minister’s directive, an amount of Rs 2,09,85,000 was successfully transferred to the farmers’ accounts.
In the first installment, more than Rs 79 crores were disbursed under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana to 1,11,373 beneficiaries in Kabirdham district. The initial transfer amounted to Rs. 79,45,47,000, and now an additional amount of Rs 2,09,85,000 has been transferred.
The Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana provides financial assistance to farmers in four installments. The second installment will be provided to the farmers on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on August 20. Last year, Kabirdham district received a total of Rs 310,11,04,000 in four installments. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, farmers receive support prices for the paddy they sell, in addition to an amount of Rs. 9,000 per acre.
