Raipur to get an Expressway soon: PWD Min Sahu

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Public Works Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu has said that people of Raipur will soon get the gift of expressway. Presently, construction work of the expressway is in the final stage and soon it will be dedicated to the public. He has informed that a total of 172 bridges have been built in Chhattisgarh in the last three and a half years at a cost of Rs.1517 crore. These include 17 units of ROBs, RUBs and flyovers worth about Rs 548 crore.

Sahu has said that despite the tough circumstances of COVID crisis in the state, PWD continued the construction works to facilitate the traffic movement, and to make commuting easier for people of the state. Instead of repairing patches of bad roads, PWD is doing the asphaltization work on the entire road so as to maintain the quality. He added that earlier the state had more of single-lane roads, but as per the instructions of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, most of the single-lane roads have been converted into double-lane. This has solved the problem of traffic to a great extent; bring much-needed relief to the people.
