Raipur

In the case of the 60 lakh rupee robbery in Anupam Nagar, Raipur, the police have found some important clues from questioning the victims. Police sources said that the victim’s family had recently filed a complaint at the Army office, but it is not clear what the complaint was about. Meanwhile, Raipur Range IG Amresh Mishra is taking minute-to-minute updates from top police officers regarding the robbery case. Sources claim that 15 different teams of ACCU and police have been formed and the investigation has been started.

According to police sources, the house where the robbery took place has an old connection with the Army. The victim’s father was retired from the Army. The robbers, while entering the house, first asked the family members whether they had made any complaint to the Army. After which, the members present in the house answered in the affirmative and they went inside.

In the initial interrogation by the police, it has come to light that a member of the house had an old family dispute with them and they have been living separately for many years.

The police interrogation has also revealed that there was one woman robber among the 5 robbers. The said woman robber also injected an elderly woman present in the house with an anesthesia injection, after which she became unconscious. The police have also recovered the needle of the anesthesia injection from inside the house. Although only 4 robbers are seen getting off in the CCTV footage, sources claim that a woman in a yellow saree was also present, who probably got off the car after a while. However, the police have not officially confirmed the total number of robbers.

The interrogation has also revealed that the said family had also bought a house in Anupam Nagar area by selling their ancestral land. The house where the robbery took place is said to be rented. The police interrogation has also revealed that the money was kept inside the house’s divan. After the robbery, the forensic team and dog squad team also reached the spot and collected evidence from the spot.
