Raipur – The Dharsiwa police on Monday organized a peace committee meeting at the local police station to ensure the smooth and peaceful celebration of the upcoming Holi festival. The meeting was attended by Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Rajendra Diwan, local public representatives, prominent citizens, traders, and community heads.

Addressing the gathering, Inspector Diwan appealed to the residents to maintain law and order and communal harmony during the festivities. He urged citizens to celebrate the festival with mutual coordination and stay away from spreading or believing in rumours.

The SHO stated that police will keep a strict vigil on anti-social elements. Strict legal action will be taken against those found creating a ruckus, forcibly applying colours, driving under the influence of alcohol, or disturbing peace in public places. Special police forces will be deployed at sensitive locations and regular patrolling will be intensified across the region.

The committee members assured the administration of their full cooperation to ensure a peaceful environment. Raipur (Rural) police have requested the public to immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or dial the emergency number.

The meeting aimed to foster police-public cooperation for a safe and harmonious Holi.
