Raipur Police Busts Drug Syndicate, Nabs 3 Key Suppliers Linked to Pakistan

Raipur
Raipur police have intensified their crackdown on drug peddlers, arresting three key accused linked to the supply of heroin and MDMA in the city. The main suppliers, identified as Charanjit Singh alias Chand and Gurjit Singh alias Guruji — both residents of Amritsar — along with Ayan Parvez, have been taken into custody. Chand and Guruji were nabbed from Kabir Nagar, while Ayan was arrested from the Ganj police station area.
With these arrests, the total number of accused apprehended in the case has reached 28. Police said the accused are being interrogated, and efforts are on to trace other members of the syndicate. Investigators revealed that the syndicate was using drones to smuggle heroin from Pakistan across the border into India.
Earlier seizures from the arrested accused included heroin, MDMA, a car, mobile phones, a weighing machine, a pistol, and 82 cartridges. Police are also probing the accused’s connections with local businessmen, politicians, and officials. Officials said that in the coming days, everyone linked to the syndicate will be questioned, and strict action will be taken.
Recently, a video of a young woman consuming drugs in a Raipur hotel went viral on social media. The two-and-a-half-minute video, allegedly shot at a well-known hotel in the Ganj police station area, showed the woman using drugs inside a room.
