President Droupadi Murmu arrived at Maa Danteshwari Airport in Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar division, today. She is visiting the region to inaugurate the three-day division-level Bastar Pandum scheduled at the historic Lalbagh Maidan.
Governor Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai received the President at the airport. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, and Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap also greeted the President upon her arrival.
The welcoming party included Member of Parliament Mahesh Kashyap, Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Singh Deo, and Mayor Sanjay Pandey. Senior officials, including Commissioner Doman Singh, Inspector General of Police Sundarraj P, Collector Akash Chhikara, and Superintendent of Police Shalab Sinha, were present to mark the occasion.
