Preparations on full swing for the arrival of the Chess Olympiad Torch Relay to Raipur on July 16

Raipur: Preparations are in full swing for the grand welcome of Chess Olympiad Torch Relay in Chhattisgarh. The torch will reach Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at 8.40 am on July 16. From there this Olympiad torch will reach the site of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium while touring Raipur city. Many programmes will be organized here.Significantly, for the first time in the 95-year history of Chess Olympiad, India has got the host of the 44th Chess Olympiad. This will be the biggest sporting event ever to be held in India. 188 countries are likely to participate in this Chess Olympiad. Chess Olympiad Torch Relay is being organized from 19th June to 28th July in 75 cities of the country under the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This torch relay will start from New Delhi and will reach Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh on 16th July while traveling to different states. From Raipur the Chess Olympiad Torch Relay will reach Chennai.
