Prayas and Eklavya students excelled in JEE Main Session-1

Raipur: Students of state run Prayas and Eklavya schools have performed brilliantly in the JEE Main Session-1 exam. 137 out of 365 students of Prayas appeared in the examination and 48 out of 116 students of Eklavya are sure to qualify. Scheduled castes and tribes minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Secretary DD Singh and Commissioner Shammi Abidi have congratulated the students and wished them a bright future.Meanwhile, this year out of 365 students of Prayas residential schools in 8 districts of the state appearing in JEE Joint Entrance Examination-1, 137 students are likely to qualify on the basis of last year’s category wise cut-off. Similarly, out of 116 students of Eklavya Adarsh Residential School, 48 students are likely to qualify.In the declared examination result, the examination result of Prayas Boys Residential School, Raipur has been the best. Out of 72 students who appeared in the examination from this school, 49 students have a good chance of cracking JEE Mains Exam-1, which is 68 per cent of the total students. Not only this, Himanshu Sahu, a student of Prayas Boys Residential School, Raipur, has topped among the students of Prayas by securing maximum marks in JEE Joint Entrance Examination-1. Similarly, 25 out of 39 girl students of Prayas Girls Residential School, Raipur have qualified. Apart from this, 16 students from Prayas Residential School, Durg, 10 from Surguja, 12 from Bilaspur, 09 from Bastar, 07 from Jashpur, 9 to 06 in Kanker and 03 from Korba district are likely to qualify.
