State government has cheated youths by not giving them unemployment allowance of Rs 2500 per month and jobs to one lakh youths: Purandeswari
Raipur: BJP Chhattisgarh in-charge and national general secretary D Purandeswari on Tuesday said that over one lakh youths of Chhattisgarh under the banner of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) to took to streets of state capital Raipur on Wednesday in protest against Congress government’s cheating on youths. This government has neither provided unemployment allowance of Rs 2500 per month to 10 lakh youth as it was promised in poll manifesto nor given employment to one lakh youths. These are the reasons why the BJYM has planned a historic rally on Wednesday and gherao the chief minister’s residence, she said while taking to media in the party’s state office.
The Berojgari ten of BJYM had received 2.80 lakh applications offline. The figure will increase if online applications are added, she said, adding a state government notification for 400 posts had attracted 20000 applicants, but this government claims Chhattisgarh government has the lowest unemployment rate on the basis of CMIE report.
Referring to the election manifesto of the Congress, Purandeswari said that the state government should pay Rs 12000 crore to youths in the form of unemployment allowance of four years.
She said that CMIE survey was done on only 23 thousand people. The truth on the ground will not change with the claims of Congress. In areas like Korba, Janjgir, many unemployed youths committed suicide due to lack of work. Yuva Morcha will raise voice regarding this problem of youth. “On Wednesday we are going to stage a massive demonstration,” she said.
She also attacked chief minister Bhupesh Baghel for lying again and again and said that perhaps the chief minister is ‘cursed’ not to tell the truth to people or it will harm him.
