Dr Singh further said that Congress party is struggling for its existence in the country. In many states, Congress is not even in a position to remain in Opposition and in large states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh Congress has ended up with just four or five numbers after 2014, said Dr Singh while addressing media at the party office in Raipur.

As soon as he became the Prime Minister, Modi increased the state share in central tax from 32 percent to 42 percent. Chhattisgarh this year has received Rs 8000 crore more than previous year under its share, said Dr Singh.

Dr Singh said that the Centre is generously helping the states including Chhattisgarh. When Union Minister Nitin Gadkari came to the state, he gave approval for roads worth Rs 9000 crorein one go and  assured of giving Rs 1 lakh croreworth of road projects to the state if state government cooperate in this direction, said Dr Singh, adding this is the generosity of the central government towards Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh is the only state in the whole country, which snatched the houses of the poor under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
