I am a Chhattisgarhi farmer and Dr Raman Singh in intolerable: CM Baghel

Raipur

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has retaliated on the statement given by his predecessor Dr Raman Singh. Baghel, who had left to join Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Maharashtra, reacted to Dr Singh’s ‘ratand mouse’ statement.

Baghel said, “I am a Chhattisgarhi farmer and Dr Singh is unable to tolerate the farmers of Chhattisgarh. Sometimes he call me a rat, sometimes a cat and sometimes a dog. Dr Singh is of feudal nature. This whole controversy is related to a general meeting of BJP held in Bhanupratappur.”

Dr Singh had narrated the story of a sage sprinkling holy water of Ganga on a rat which at last become a lion while addressing the people in Bhanupratappurwhich is going to by-poll on December 5. Dr Singh told voters that the time has come to transform the lion to rat again which is possible by voting in favour of Bramhanand Netam, the BJP candidate for the byelection.

Favouring a statement made on Savarkar by Rahul Gandhi, Baghel said – Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Mahatma Gandhi or Bhagat Singh never apologized to the Britishunlike Savarkar. Savarkar’s life should be seen in two parts. Before going to jail, he remained in revolutionary activities but after going to jail, he changed. He was seen standing with the British. That’s why his history has to be seen in two ways.

Congress had launched a political attack on former CM Dr Raman Singh through a video message. BJP has lost in every by-election held in the state in the last 4 years. But before every election, Dr Singh had claimed the victory. Congress has released the video of those claims.
