Raipur

After the Bharatiya Najata Party (BJP) demanded rollback of the National Security Act (NSA) in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the BJP should read the law before such demand.

The opposition, especially the BJP, has strongly objected to the notification to impose the National Security Act in 31 districts of Chhattisgarh. The BJP said, through this, the government wants to suppress the tribals who are fighting against religious conversion. BJP is going to hold a rally regarding this. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, this is the law of the central government. The BJP is at centre and it can scrap this law.

Talking to the media at Raipur Police Line helipad before leaving for Balod, Chief Minister BhupeshBaghel said, this is the law of the country. BJP holdsrallies here, but there is their government at the center, even the Supreme Court has said so why don’t they bring the law. The Chief Minister said, the issue of religious conversion is not only in one state, it is in all the states. Bring the law, who is stopping the central government which can remove article 370, bring demonetisation, bring GST.

BJP only enjoys making people fight. Don’t talk positively, don’t talk about connecting. They don’t  believe in positive.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said BJP state president Arun Sao is a lawyer. Raman Singh has also been the Chief Minister for 15 years. NSA is the law of the central government. It is renewed every six months. I didn’t know about it either. When I asked, I came to know that this happens every four-six months. This happens in other states as well. Also tell in which state it has not happened. The district magistrates are given this right every six months.

The Chief Minister lashed out at the BJP  for spreading hate in the society in the name of religion.

When asked about the possibility of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh joining the Union Cabinet and his refusal, the Chief Minister gave advice. Raman Singh was Union minister before coming to state. I am not talking about becoming governor. But if RamanSingh becomes a Union Minister, Chhattisgarh will be benefitted, said the chief minister.
