Raipur
Police personnel involved in operations that neutralized Naxalites in the forests of Bastar have been promoted. DGP Arun Dev Gautam has issued an official order granting out-of-turn promotions to 295 personnel, including constables, head constables, ASIs, and sub-inspectors posted across various districts.
The order specifically mentions that these promotions are being awarded to personnel who displayed exceptional bravery during anti-Naxal operations. As part of the promotions, some head constables have been promoted to ASIs, while others have been elevated to the ranks of sub-inspector and inspector.
The directive also clearly states that any officer or personnel with a poor service record or serious disciplinary action against them will not be considered for promotion. A report regarding such individuals must be submitted to the DGP’s office.
