PM Modi to dedicate new Vidhan Sabha of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of State’s Foundation Day

Raipur:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will spend over six hours in Nava Raipur on Saturday to mark Chhattisgarh Foundation Day. He is scheduled to inaugurate several key projects linked to the state’s development, culture, and social welfare.

The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes:

‘Dil Ki Baat’ with Children:
PM Modi will visit the Shri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Nava Raipur, and interact with 2,500 children who have undergone free heart surgeries at the institute. The hospital has performed over 37,000 successful heart surgeries for children from India and neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.
The hospital is unique as it does not have a bill counter — all treatments are completely free of cost.

New Assembly Building:

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the new Assembly building, a state-of-the-art structure built over 15 acres.
The project is entirely funded by public donations and features pre-stressed tensile beam technology, reflecting modern architectural excellence.

Digital Tribal Museum:

PM Modi will also inaugurate India’s first Digital Tribal Museum, spread across 9.75 acres.
Named the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, it aims to digitally showcase the heroic tales of tribal leaders.
The project, worth approximately ₹50 crore, took around three years and five months to complete.

Brahma Kumaris Meditation Centre:

The Prime Minister will launch the grand ‘Shanti Shikhar – Academy for a Peaceful World’ meditation centre of the Brahma Kumaris Institute, located in Sector-20, Nava Raipur.
Built over five floors, the centre resembles a Rajasthani palace, constructed with pink stone imported from Jodhpur.

Security and Traffic Arrangements:

For the high-profile visit, 2,000 police personnel will be deployed.
Elaborate security arrangements and thematic floats representing major government schemes like Operation Sindoor, Naxal Mukti, Lakhpati Didi, and Mahtari Vandan Yojana are being prepared along six major routes.

Six different routes have been designated for people arriving from various districts, while the routes used by the Prime Minister will remain restricted to the general public.
Given the tight schedule of six hours and 45 minutes, the Prime Minister will take a brief snack break while travelling between venues.

Political Controversy:

Meanwhile, a controversy has erupted over the inauguration of the new Assembly building.
Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) leader Amit Jogi has raised objections after the invitation card allegedly omitted the name of ‘Mini Mata’.

Jogi termed it a political conspiracy or a constitutional blunder, calling the omission an insult to the state’s history, constitutional values, and the Dalit community.
He reminded that his late father, Ajit Jogi — Chhattisgarh’s first Chief Minister — had named the previous Assembly building after Mini Mata to honour her as a voice for women, Dalits, and the common public.

In protest, Amit Jogi burnt a copy of the invitation card and appealed to all sitting and former MLAs to boycott the Prime Minister’s event if the name ‘Mini Mata’ is not restored.
He also urged Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh to issue a fresh invitation clearly labelling the new building as ‘Mini Mata Assembly Bhavan, Nava Raipur.’
