Raipur:
The Pink Patrol Unit of the Central Zone reunited a two-year-old child with his family on Saturday after he was found crying near the Mekahara Hospital auto stand.
The team was on regular patrol duty near the hospital premises when they spotted the child. Local auto-rickshaw drivers informed the personnel that the boy had been crying for a long time and was searching for his mother.
The patrol team alerted the Mekahara Hospital police post and Moudhapara police station about the lost child. They began a search operation in the vicinity to locate the parents.
Shortly after, the mother emerged from the hospital and approached the team. She informed the police that she had gone inside the hospital to register for physiotherapy and had left the child outside. The registration process took longer than expected, causing the child to panic.
The police team verified the mother’s identity through her Aadhaar card and handed over the child to her. The family expressed their gratitude to the Raipur Police for their prompt action.
The Raipur Police Commissionerate stated that the quick response of the Pink Patrol Unit ensured the safety of the minor.
