Raipur: On the appeal of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, the farmers of the state are donating paddy stubble to the Gauthans instead of burning it. This is being used as fodder for the cattle in the state-run Gauthans. Farmers who have tractors or other transportation means are themselves participating in this task by transporting the paddy stubble to the Gauthans. The Gauthan committees are also bringing the paddy stubble donated by farmers to the Gauthans. So far, 18.58 lakh quintals of paddy stubble are available as fodder for cattle.
