‘Mukhyamantri Dai Didi Clinic’: More than 1.27 women got free treatment

Raipur: More than 1,709 camps have been organized under the ‘Mukhyamantri Dai Didi Clinic’–a one of its kind scheme in the country that aims to provide free medical facilities to women and adolescent girls through mobile medical clinics with all women staff. More than 1.27 lakh women and adolosecent girls residing in slums of Raipur, Bilaspur and Bhilai municipal corporation areas has got free treatment facilities near their home under this scheme.
Meanwhile, the scheme is being operated by the urban administration and development department of the state government. Free-of-cost treatment facilities for various diseases are provided to the needy women and adolescent girls through well-equipped mobile medical units with an all women staff. Lab test of about 22,831 women have been conducted and free of cost medicines have been distributed to over 1.22 lakh women through the dedicated mobile medical units. The scheme has been proven beneficial for the women indulged in labour work who can’t visit hospital due to time and money constraints.
