Medical registration of four doctors, including medical college dean, suspended 

Chhattisgarh  Medical Council carried out the action.

Raipur:Chhattisgarh Medical Council has suspended Medical Registration of four doctors, taking action on complaints received against them. The head of the Medical Council ShrikantRajimwale informed about the action taken against the doctors, Dr Gambhir Singh Sendram, Dean of RIMS Hospital, Dr Ajit Laharia of ShriNarayana Hospital, and Dr Rajesh Chandra and Dr Harshit Goenka of Hopewell Hospital in Katora Talab area of the state capital.

According to Dr Rajimwale, a complaint was received against Dr Gambhir Singh that he did not give internship completion to 6 students even after the completion of their internship. Because of this, the council meeting was held twice and Dr Singh skipped both the meetings. As Dr Singh disregarded the council in the matter, his medical registration was suspended for 3 months.

In second case, Dr Ajit Laharia was accused of negligent in treatment process. Dr Laharia was asked by the Medical Council to appear in the council meeting for the investigation of the matter, but he did not appear of the meeting. The council suspended his registration for 3 months due to careless attitude.

Likewise, Dr Chandra and Dr Goenka run a hospital named Hopewell Hospital in KatoraTalab. A patient complained that he was denied of the benefits of Ayushman Bharat and Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme. As a result, medical registration of these doctors was cancelled for one year.
