Medical Education Minister T S Singhdeo, along with Deans and Hospital Superintendents, visit the medical colleges today.

T.S. Singhdeo, Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education, held a day-long marathon meeting with senior departmental officers, deans, and hospital superintendents from all medical colleges to review the arrangements for study, teaching, and treatment in medical colleges. During the meeting, he directed the experts, doctors, and other medical college personnel to be sensitive to the patients and their families. He asked to keep all kinds of medications in sufficient quantity in all the hospitals affiliated with the medical colleges so that no patient has to buy medicines from outside. He directed her to hold a monthly review meeting of the works and arrangements of medical colleges. Secretary, Medical Education Department, Prasanna R.; Director, Dr Vishnu Dutt; and Managing Director, CGMSC, Chandrakant Verma, were also present in the review meeting.

Minister T S Singhdeo directed that, cases claiming the amount of IPD treatment in hospitals affiliated with medical colleges under the Dr Khubchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana be expedited. All medical colleges agreed at the meeting to operate OPDs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Treatment registration is available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
TS Singhdeo asked that all medical college hostels improve their student facilities and arrangements. He directed them to create an action plan for the construction of UG (undergraduate) and PG (postgraduate) hostels for students at the new Kanker, Mahasamund, and Korba colleges. He requested them to complete the process of soliciting bids for the construction of new college buildings and begin the work immediately. In the meeting, the medical education minister also inquired about the financial, human resource, and equipment needs.
The meeting discussed the presence of doctors on duty in medical colleges, the availability of medicines, the number of normal and caesarean deliveries, the implementation of the Janani Suraksha Yojana, the dialysis facility, CGMSC construction work, sickle cell management centre work, an ambulance, and dead bodies. Vehicle availability, promotions, compassionate appointments, pension cases, medical colleges, and affiliated hospitals were all investigated in court. The meeting also discussed the arrangements for the diet, security, and cleanliness of the hospitalised patients.
