Major Security Breach: Person Carrying Pistol Reaches Chhattisgarh CM’s Cabin; 8 Policemen suspended

Raipur
A grave security oversight has been uncovered in the safeguarding of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai. An individual managed to breach the security perimeter of the Chief Minister’s residence while carrying a loaded pistol. Shockingly, the individual was not subjected to proper security screening upon entry. However, alert security personnel later identified the weapon and swiftly detained the individual for interrogation. Consequently, 8 policemen have been relieved of their duties pending a thorough investigation into the incident.
The individual successfully reached the Chief Minister’s cabin within the State Guest House Pahuna in Raipur, which serves as the Chief Minister’s official residence. This incident has raised serious concerns about the efficacy of security protocols, especially given the high foot traffic of visitors to the CM House on a daily basis. The intruder arrived in a VIP vehicle, yet managed to carry a concealed firearm unnoticed until intercepted by vigilant security personnel.
Alarming revelations suggest that certain influential figures were granted unrestricted access to the Chief Minister’s residence without undergoing proper security checks at the entrance. This laxity in protocol extended to the individual carrying the pistol, who was allowed to bypass security measures due to unwarranted leniency towards VIPs, including senior BJP leaders, legislators, parliamentarians, and officials.
The breach was only discovered during secondary security checks when the intruder attempted to approach the Chief Minister, prompting immediate intervention. However, questions arise as to why such lapses occurred despite existing security directives. The Chief Minister was not present when the man entered CM residence.
Chief Minister’s security officer Prafull Thakur said on February 25 when the Chief Minister was absent from the premises the incident took place.
Reports also suggest that the individual carrying the pistol hails from Jashpur and enjoys familiarity with the Chief Minister, purportedly possessing a valid license for the firearm. These factors have led to speculation regarding potential leniency in handling the matter.
