Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh to be held in 3 phases, results to be announced on June 4.

The Election Commission of India has announced the dates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to the announcement, elections will be conducted in 3 phases in Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, the election results will be declared on June 4. As per the Election Commission’s schedule, the first phase of voting will be conducted on April 19 in Chhattisgarh, followed by the second phase on April 26, and the third phase on May 7.

In the first phase (April 19), voting will take place in Bastar. In the second phase (April 26), voting will be held in Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund, and Kanker. In the third phase (May 7), voting will occur for the Durg, Raipur, Janjgir-Champa, Korba, Surguja, Raigarh, and Bilaspur seats.

It is worth mentioning that there are a total of 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh where elections will be conducted. These seats include Raipur, Mahasamund, Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh, Janjgir-Champa, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Bastar, Kanker, and Surguja. Parties have announced their candidates for these seats, with the BJP announcing candidates for 11 seats and the Congress for 6 seats.

Surguja: Chintamani Maharaj
Durg: Vijay Baghel
Janjgir-Champa: Kamlesh Jangde
Korba: Saroj Pandey
Raigarh: Radheshyam Rathia
Bilaspur: Tokhan Sahu
Rajnandgaon: Santosh Pandey
Mahasamund: Rupkumari Chaudhary
Bastar: Mahesh Kashyap
Kanker: Bhojraj Nag
Congress has declared six candidates:
Raipur: Vikas Upadhyay
Durg: Rajendra Sahu
Rajnandgaon: Bhupesh Baghel
Mahasamund: Tamradhwaj Sahu
Korba: Jyotsna Mahant
Janjgir-Champa: Shiv Kumar Dahariya
