International Women’s Day: Workshop on women’s safety and nutrition awareness organised in Raipur
Raipur: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a women’s safety and nutrition awareness workshop is being organised by the Department of Women and Child Development today at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium located in the Science College campus of state capital Raipur.
Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhediya inaugurated the programme. Meanwhile, Harsha Sahu, a Karate expert, taught women self-defense techniques in the programme. Dr. Shruti Prabhu of Satya Sai Hospital and UNICEF’s Dr. Aparna Deshpande provided detailed information on adolescent girls’ health and nutrition. Along with this, cyber expert Monali Guha answered students’ questions about cyber security. In addition, blood and BMI tests are being performed on female students.
On this occasion, Director of Women and Child Development Department Divya Mishra, artist Anuj Sharma, departmental officers and students of various colleges were present in large numbers.
