
Raipur:The ‘Humar Lab’, set up in government hospitals to facilitate needy with better health facilities, has become centre of discussion in every part of the country. This innovation has attracting medical experts from different states to study the facility facilitates patients getting all kind of tests done under one roof. The labs have been set up in district hospitals and community health centers in the state. There are 120 types of tests get done in the Humar Lab of District Hospitals and 50 types of tests in the Lab of Community Health Centers. These labs are being run by locally available resources.
The labs are being set up by the National Health Mission to provide facilities for various tests at affordable rates in district hospitals and community health centres. The lab offers quality diagnostic and services under one roof. It proved a boon during the Corona period.
\Doctors and officers of other states are coming to Chhattisgarh for study
Officers and doctors from other states are coming to study the lab set up in Chhattisgarh. Organisations working in the field of health at national and international level such as CDC, Zapigo, Path and the Clinton Foundation have also visited the ‘Humar Lab’.
It is said that recently a team of doctors and officials from Rajasthan and Karnataka visited the ‘Humar Lab’ of the state and enquired about their infrastructure and working system. In this sequence, a team of doctors and officials from NHSRC (National Health System Resource Center) New Delhi and Assam is coming on study tour.
Humar Lab getting good results
Director of National Health Mission, Dr PriyankaShukla said that the number of tests in ‘Humar Lab’ is constantly increasing. Hummer labs have been set up in nine district hospitals of the state – Durg, Balod, Balodabazar, Kanker, Kondagaon, Bastar, Sukma, Bijapur and Balrampur and three community health centers – Manpur, Patan and Palari.
It has been claimed by the government that at the block level, the country’s first public health unit (Block Public Health Unit) was set up at community health center Patan. All kinds of testing facilities are being made available to the patients through ‘Humar Lab’here.
