In view of the Holi festival, the Railways has decided to operate special trains. The South East Central Railway (SECR) will run five pairs of Holi special trains from Chhattisgarh to facilitate passengers. These trains will provide relief to travelers heading to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, and Rajasthan.
The special trains will run from Gondia to Chhapra (Bihar) and Patna (Bihar), as well as from Durg to Nizamuddin (Delhi) and Madar Junction (Ajmer, Rajasthan). This initiative will help passengers avoid overcrowding and celebrate the festival comfortably with their families.

- Gondia to Chhapra and Patna – 3 special trains
- Durg to Nizamuddin (Delhi) – 1 special train
- Durg to Madar Junction (Ajmer) – 1 special train

According to the Railways, regular trains witness a massive surge in waiting lists due to heavy passenger rush during Holi. These special trains will benefit thousands of travelers. Tickets can be booked through the IRCTC website, mobile app, and railway ticket counters.
