
*Bilaspur. Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (a Central University) and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakhstan signed an MoU on July 30, 2023. Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor, Alok Kumar Chakrawal on behalf of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya and Mr. Arman Ilyassov, Head of Consular Section, Embassy of Kazakhstan in India on behalf of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan signed the MoU as a representative of Rector of Mr. Yerlan Sydykov.It is noteworthy that the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam organized on the occasion of the third anniversary of the National Education Policy-2020 at ITPO Center, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on July 29-30, 2023 was inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. During the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities, Honorable Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, Government of India, Dr. Subhash Sarkar, Union Minister of State for Education, Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Prof. M. Jagdish Kumar, and Heads of various Central higher education institutions were present.On this occasion, Honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal said, “This MoU with the prestigious National University of the Republic of Kazakhstan fulfills the objective of National Education Policy-2020, that of internationalization of education and teaching with Indianness”. This MoU will prove to be effective in bringing both the countries closer academically. He expressed the hope that in the coming years, both the countries would promote cultural exchange and educational activities.The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chakrawal said that we aim to underpin global collaborative initiatives in higher education and place India on the global educational map with Guru Ghasidas Central University as an important constituent. He said that through this MoU, opportunities for skill development, proper employment, motivation for startups, and more avenues for research and innovation will be made available to the youth.Head of the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in India, Mr. Arman Ilyassov and other guests expressed happiness over the MoU signed between the two institutions and emphasized on cooperation and coordination.*Both institutions will benefit from the MoU*• Under this MoU, the latest programs and efforts being made by both the institutes in the field of academics, research, and innovation will be shared.• Research scholars and teachers of both the institutes will be able to use the sophisticated analytical instruments facility available, so that the execution of quality research works can be ensured.• Under this MoU, researchers and teachers of both the institutes will be able to visit each other’s institutes for research and other academic activities.• Both the institutes will jointly organize seminars, short term programs, workshops and symposiums on various topics.• Both the institutes will jointly consider the content of the degree and training programmes.• Both the institutes will provide administrative and academic training to each other’s administrative officers.• This MoU will also work with a view to strengthen cultural activities between the two countries.
