Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel presents his claim for Patan constituency, hands over application to block Congress president

RAIPURThe Congress party has hit the ground by initiating the process of candidate applications for the forthcoming electoral battle. At the heart of these developments, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has made a significant move by officially announcing his candidature from the Patan constituency and formally submitting his application to the Block President, two days after BJP announced MP Vijay Baghel as its candidate from the same constituency.Adding to the unfolding political drama, Deputy Chief Minister TS Singh Deo has thrown his hat into the ring as well. He has submitted his application to the Block Congress Committee, expressing his aspiration to be nominated as the Congress candidate from the Ambikapur constituency.The application process for securing tickets within the Congress party commenced on Thursday, marking the initiation of a crucial phase in the lead-up to the elections. Notably, the first application to be received was from the Raipur South Assembly constituency. Sources revealed that Kanhaiya Agrawal has taken the lead by submitting his application to the Block President. He is vying for victory from the Raipur South seat. It’s worth mentioning that Agrawal contested from the same seat during the 2018 elections, showing his continued dedication to public service.
