CJM orders FIR against officials in Rs 94 cr road scam
Ambikapur:The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ambikapur, has asked the local police to register FIR (First Information Report) against the managing director of Chhattisgarh Road Development Corporation Limited (CRDCL) Raipur and others in connection with alleged irregularities of Rs 94 crore in the construction of a Ring Road.
Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Deepak Kumar Koshle has directed Ambikapur police to register FIR against the then CRDCL managing director Anil Rai, other officials of the corporation and contractors for irregularities in construction of Ring Road,
The court has ordered this while hearing the plea filed by advocate and RTI activist D K Soni.
RTI activist Soni alleged that substandard cements were used in the construction of Ring Road and the drawing design were also overlooked. Moreover, excess payments were made against the issued work order to embezzle the government fund.
He further informed that the court on December 1 this year has ordered Ambikapur police to register FIR against MD Anil Rai, general manager GS Solanki, project manager Mansingh Dhruv, manager (finance) Sachin Sharma, CRDCL officer Nishesh Bhatt, deputy project manager Rashmi Vaishya, assistant project manager Abhishek Vishwakarma, company’s team leader Sunil Kumar Pandey and others.
