Big announcement of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel: Naib Tehsildar will also be called Gazetted Officer

RaipurChief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday announced that the naib tehsildars will be known as gazette officer in Chhattisgarh. He made the announcement during the state level conference organized by the Junior Administrative Service Association, on the theme ‘Contribution of the Revenue Department in the Development of Agriculture and Farmers of the State’. Additionally, the chief minister inaugurated the booklet titled “Bhuiya Ke Mitan” during the conference.Addressing the demands for promotions raised by the Junior Administrative Service Association, the chief minister assured the officers that their promotions will be done in due course.

Underlining the importance of these officers, the chief minister said that they constitute an indispensable facet of administration, engaged in a diverse range of responsibilities.Highlighting their pivotal role during the COVID-19 crisis, the chief minister praised the revenue officers for their essential contributions in fulfilling critical responsibilities and supporting citizens, which earned accolades for the state of Chhattisgarh on national level.The chief minister also drew attention to a remarkable achievement of reserving a staggering 1.5 million acres of land for Gothans across the state, a feat accomplished without any hurdles. This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of officers and employees within the Junior Administrative Service. Furthermore, he stressed that this commitment to administrative excellence and public service has enabled the issuance of caste certificates, transfer certificates, and land distribution certificates to remote areas like Sukma district, directly at people’s homes.Revenue minister Jai Singh Agrawal, speaking at the conference, highlighted the fulfillment of local demands for new tehsils and subdivisions, addressing the convenience of the general public and enhancing government accessibility through the establishment of new districts.
